The Self-Love Celebration Lab
🌸 SPRING EDITION 🌸
A DAY OF PLAY EXPLORING SELF-EXPRESSION AND SELF-REFLECTION AS A FORM OF SELF-CELEBRATION
The Self-Love Celebration Lab is a 3-hour immersive experience that challenges perfectionism by giving you an opportunity to make a mess while embracing the messiness of being alive. Described as a “spiritual workout,” The Confetti Project is bringing play back into adulthood for stress-relief and the duality of finding joy in the chaos. Think: pastels, somatic movement, your inner child, and a pale yellow photo background to always remember what it felt like to reconnect to yourself in community, confetti, and Spring.

The Experience
In 2022, Lululemon and The Confetti Project collaborated on the very first one. Since then, we have pivoted into the world of immersive experiences with the official launch of a community workshop that combines mindfulness exercises, a question, and somatic activities with pounds of confetti and a portrait at the end. This joy practice gives you the space to slow down, let go, and reconnect by prioritizing play as a form of self-care and community-care.
Designed for ages 13+.

& Confetti Portrait
Having amassed thousands of photos in NYC, LA, DC, and Dubai, photography will always be the DNA of the brand. In 2016, The Confetti Project was birthed as a 3-month photography challenge that became a confetti portrait series that explored: what do you celebrate? Jelena quickly realized that this was much bigger than her - there was a real transformation happening as people were given permission to express themselves with confetti. Each photo immortalizes a moment in time - which is something that will live on beyond us. Jelena’s goal is to capture the subject’s spirit with her work.
After the workshop, you receive:
-
You’ll get to personally meet the creator, artist, and facilitator that just transported you into another world.
-
A few minutes sounds very quick but not in confetti world. You will experience Jelena in her element as she’s perfected her technique behind “confetti photography”. So much so that it will look easy! She will guide you through some signature poses that promotes letting go.
-
Jelena will review your entire gallery and pick the photograph that is most expressive and alive, where everything is coming together: confetti, light, and facial expressions - in the curation style that The Confetti Project is known for.
-
When you receive your edited portrait, you will also receive a proof sheet of your entire photoshoot. You have the chance of buying more photos @ $25/photo.

What does confetti have to do with mental health?
Based on nearly a decade of experiential observation from confetti portraiture and pioneering play research, this framework is an outlet that uses joy to move through discomfort, challenge, and chaos. Influenced by positive psychology, somatic therapy, and emotion dynamics, this practice is part of an emerging trend where play and joy is the next evolution of wellbeing.
As Featured on NBC’s New York Live
During Mental Health Awareness Month, NY Live’s TV anchor Joelle Garguilo came to experience our very first public Celebration Lab as we explored: what do you celebrate about your mental health journey? Take a look at the love story behind The Confetti Project and a glimpse into what it’s really like being at a confetti experience.

The Center of Enlightenment Arts (CEA)
The Center of Enlightenment Arts is a sanctuary for those seeking purpose, insight, and a deeper connection to the world around them. To inspire creativity and foster meaningful connections, their new 2,000+ space in East Williamsburg provides a versatile environment where individuals and communities can explore their passions, host diverse events, and embark on transformative experiences through technology, art, and mindfulness. At CEA, they believe that wisdom delivery systems come in many forms, as true wisdom is not a distant ideal, but a constant, ever-present force. It underpins existence itself. They hope their space can serve as a hub for our community to come together in practice, integration, support and service. I’m beyond excited to bring The Confetti Project to a space like this that will help make it the most sensory experience it’s ever been in audio, light, and projection design.
