Pregnancy and infant loss bring a unique grief not often discussed: how do you honor a life that was never able to experience the fullness of living? What Loss Parents often grieve is the possibility of what could have been – the sweet newborn stage, our babies' first smiles, sending them off to kindergarten or prom, or witnessing them lead dignified, beautiful lives of their own. We grasp for those moments and are reminded of them everywhere because they are missing everything. The intangibility of things that should have been can feel insurmountable, but through tactile play, we invite you to process your feelings and reconnect to your body, mind, and spirit. Play for our children because they can't, and alchemize your grief into a beautiful tribute to them during this challenging month.

What is a Celebration Lab?
AN EXPERIENTIAL COMMUNITY WORKSHOP EXPLORING SELF-REFLECTION AND SELF-EXPRESSION AS A FORM OF SELF-CELEBRATION
A 2-hour workshop experience that challenges perfectionism by giving you an opportunity to make a mess while embracing the messiness of being human. Described as a “spiritual workout,” The Confetti Project is bringing play back into adulthood for stress-relief and teaching us how to find joy amidst the chaos. Think: color, reflection, and expression in community.

The Experience
In 2022, Lululemon and The Confetti Project collaborated on the very first one. Since then, we have pivoted into the world of immersive experiences with the official launch of a community workshop that combines mindfulness exercises and somatic activities with pounds of confetti. This joy practice gives you the space to slow down, let go, and reconnect by prioritizing play as a form of self-care and community-care.

Having amassed thousands of photos in NYC, LA, DC, and Dubai, photography will always be the DNA of the brand. In 2016, The Confetti Project was birthed as a 3-month photography challenge that became a confetti portrait series that explored: what do you celebrate? Jelena quickly realized that this was much bigger than her - there was a real transformation happening as people were given permission to express themselves with confetti. Our new offering is video portraits that allow for you to immortalize this time in your life in moving form. Jelena’s goal is to capture the subject’s spirit.

Based on nearly a decade of experiential observation from confetti portraiture and pioneering play research, this framework is an outlet that uses joy to move through discomfort, challenge, and chaos. Influenced by positive psychology, somatic therapy, and emotion dynamics, this practice is part of an emerging trend where play and joy is the next evolution of wellbeing.

The most important thing is to be comfortable so you can move freely. We recommend anything that makes you feel amazing and alive. You can always play dress up with it.
